It is obtained from different grapes with a long maceration and a long contact between the must and the skins, followed by a year ageing in a large steel barrel. It is therefore a soft deep-coloured full-bodied rich wine but at the same time with the typical nature of the local wines as regards acidity and minerality. It is a warm, enveloping and pleasant wine. It has to be tasted once aerated and oxygenated to find, after the initial ruggedness, a great softness and sweetness. The vines have about 40 years old.
