The name of this wine derives from St. Vincenzo, holy protector of vineyards and winegrowers. In ancient times, farmers used to turn to this Saint to find solution to natural disasters. It is an important name for a wine, born from drying the grapes for 50/60 days in an apposite room, followed by crushing and a long maceration, until the total transformation of sugar. The bouquet is rich in soft fruits aromas and the taste is intense soft and warm. It represents the maximum expression and intensity of the Garda wines while maintaining the saltiness of the moraine lands. This wine has been produced for the first time from our farm, Due Pini, in 2001. Its alcoholic content of 14 % vol. is not too aggressive but makes this “San Vincenzo” an ideal sipping wine, or a wine that can be appreciated with important savoury second courses. After the vinification, before marketing, it undergoes an ageing in barrel of at least two years, of which one in a large oak barrel. The particular label is a faithful reproduction of an ancient icon dedicated to the Saint. The original is hanging in our winery.
